This is another picture I drew during the Fourth of July weekend. It is a simple pose, but that was partly the point; not every piece of artwork has to be trying something new.

I drew this picture during the Fourth of July weekend I spent back at home, but I’ve been too busy with WWDC to post it until now! I was trying to have the character show some emotion and be in a pose that would be part of a story. I think for it to work better, there needs to be more context.
WWDC 2006 was amazing. The Leopard developer preview got out the door. The Mac OS X State of the Union, of which I played a role, went flawlessly. My friends gave great sessions throughout the conference. I danced.
WWDC is spring break for engineers — the parties were awesome (Engineers Gone Wild?), and I’m still recovering from it all.
This year was more fun than any of the three other WWDC’s I’ve attended. I knew a lot more people than in previous years, got to know some people better, and met some new faces who learned what the “M” for my middle name stands for. Staying at a hotel near Moscone worked out great as well.
Now that it is over, I plan on doing all those things I didn’t get a chance to do because I was so busy. Here’s my (pretty standard) list:
Today is my second anniversary of working at Apple. Since last year, I’ve moved up in the world and now have two (2) window offices! Alright, there’s a legitimate reason and it is really only temporary
. Most importantly this year, I’ve learned how to send emails faster, and upset engineering managers. The first is a necessary skill, the second will hopefully be converted to “pleasing engineering managers” by next year!
In other news, once WWDC is over, I intend on finally making HyperEdit a universal binary!
